We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as an Aerial Groundhand. In this role, you will work support our aerial lineman by providing support on the ground including driving vehicles, operating machinery, etc.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- The Aerial Groundhand assists the Aerial crew by furnishing tools, materials, and supplies; cleaning work area, machines, and tools, holding materials or tools for other workers and performing traffic control duties
- Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones
- Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials
- Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities
- Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications
- Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed
- Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications
- Tend to pumps, compressors, or generators to provide power for tools, machinery, or equipment
- Erect or dismantle traffic barricades or other temporary structures for safety
- Lubricate and clean machinery, equipment, or tools
- Utilize machinery, such as a directional drill, to drill holes in many different types of dirt and clay
Education and Qualifications:
- Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions
- Ability to work efficiently, independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Must be able to bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb, and lift throughout each day
- Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners, and customers
- Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable work attendance
- Must be able to pass drug and background screening
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- High school diploma
- Driver's license with clean driving record, CDL not required but helpful

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and to talk and hear, and lift 75 pounds or more. The associate must occasionally reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
