We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Telecommunications Underground Crewman I. In this entry-level role, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground telecommunications infrastructure. This position offers opportunities for career growth and training in a fast-paced, outdoor work environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Assist with the installation of underground telecommunications fiber, conduits, and associated equipment.
Safely operate tools and equipment such as trenchers, jackhammers, compactors, and drills.
Dig trenches, lay conduit, and backfill as required.
Work in an outdoor environment with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and near moving traffic.
Perform maintenance and repairs on existing underground networks.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.
Conduct site clean-up and restoration to ensure project areas are left in good condition.
Participate in safety meetings and training programs as required. Potential for overtime and weekend work based on project needs.
Education and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Familiarity with underground construction or telecommunications work is preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction equipment.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
$15.00 to $22.00 per hour based on experience

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and to talk and hear, and lift 25 pounds or more. The associate must occasionally reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
